[ He's looking more and more red faced as she continues to laugh. Refusing to tell him anything. He's starting to feel more like she's laughing at him. ]

[ He has a sense of humor. It's just better to be aware of what the thing is that has her laughing so. He could handle it when she laughed at him when he thought the only way to have sex was the back way. Because even he knew it was foolish once he said it. But she won't give him a straight answer about Mrs. Fitz. ]
Ye hinnae told me why I should be laughin' though. Did she not say such a thing? Is that why ye cannae stop?
[ At this point he doesn't think he'll ever get a full answer from Claire. Which is why now that she's on the bed and off his lap he can move in properly. His fingers moves to press to her sides and he starts to tickle. If she's going to laugh she at least deserves a real reason to be laughing. ]
[It's a loud yelp amidst renewed laughter, and while she squirms, there's no real attempt to escape him. Her skirts tangle around her legs. There's no escape even if she wanted--he easily dwarfs her.]
If ye going to laugh, Sassenach, ye should have something to laugh at.
[ He doesn't care if her laughter echoes throughout the inn. Maybe it'll disturb Dougal and the others. But it's not as if they haven't disturbed Jamie in the past with a woman. Besides they're hardly doing anything.
Jamie does lean down closer as his fingers continue to wander and tickle. He's all smiles now. Funny how that works. ]
[ She's a clever woman, his wife. It's one of the reasons he loves her. She knows about Jamie's want. His desire. He's expressed it enough. She'll certainly try to use it against him by trying to pull him down into a kiss.
He could pull away. But he doesn't. Instead Jamie leans down to kiss her. ]
[Better. She breaks the kiss to catch her breath, the tickling stolen much of it, and then her lips are on his again. Her hands move down his back, feeling him, undeterred by the scars or how her fingers catch on the particularly deep grooves in his flesh.]
[ Whatever ideas or notions he had in his head before do seem to melt when he's this close to her. When her lips are on his and he can practically feel her own heart beating against his chest. It makes his blood run hot. She has this way about her. ]
[ He doesn't get a chance to speak again. She's already kissing him and pulling him into her. Her tongue parting his lips to find his own. That leaves Jamie's body tingling. Every single time.
That kiss is only broken for a second. ]
Forgiven.

[If only marriage was truly that simple. He'll feel her smile as they kiss, their bed comfortable beneath her back, and better yet when she tugs him down a bit more against her. Not enough to crush, but enough to press.]
[ He's learned his lesson about laying on her completely. She told him on their wedding night that he was crushing her. He doesn't wish to repeat the same mistake. When she pulls him down he doesn't completely give in and let his body cave on hers. He tries to keep some of it elevated. Keeping his wife comfortable.
Though he's keenly aware that his top half is bare and she's still very clothed. ]

Unless she's trying to repeat what they do out on the roads. Where getting undressed is not possible or practical. ]
[ She's got all sorts of layers on. He can't be mocked too much because she distracted him from his task before. But that means getting up as much as he hates that. He presses a hand against the mattress and pushes himself upward. He grabs the bed frame to rise to his feet and listens to it creak under the pressure. It certainly wouldn't support the two of them.
Jamie holds out a hand to help her onto her feet. ]
[Pity that he has to move, but Claire's not too fussed when he offers his hand. She takes it, and trusts that he'll have no problem hauling her to her feet.]
[ It's a pity indeed, but getting a lady out of her clothes isn't easily done flat. One must be upright. Makes the task go by a bit quicker.
He does indeed haul her to her feet. His hands move upward and he removes the silk scarf with quick hands. He pulls it free and lets it float to the ground. Next come the laces in the front. Plucking at them idly as he looks at her with a crooked smile. ]
[Far less complicated, and she's not as tightly strapped into the clothing. She wouldn't have been able to get out of her wedding dress without his help. This? She could manage, but she's happy to watch him work.]
[ He gives her a smile as he looks up at her. She's right. It's easier to manage than the wedding dress. With the ties that went on for days. Jamie thought he'd be pulling at the laces until dawn. But these go by quickly until he's pushing it off her shoulders entirely.
Without a word he grabs her waist and uses his hold to spin her away from him. Helping her out of her skirts next. Another task with less to do. His foot kicks the heap of fabric away from them. Down to her shift he presses in behind her. ]
I dinnae think I'll ever tire of undressing ye, Claire.
[She gives a surprised laugh--she trusts him, but it's almost a bit... fun, to be manhandled by him so boldly. Her hands reach for his arms, drawing them securely around her waist.]
Now, if only I could train you how to dress me in the mornings...
